Chasing Shadows is a research and design consultancy established by an architecturally-trained creative communications specialist with more than a decade’s experience as a designer, consultant, film director and producer.
Design
Working as a designer and producer informs Clare’s work in design, consultancy, film and print. Trained as an architect, she uses a research-driven approach to uncover the wider context underlying every subject and distil personal experiences into visually-informed narratives for multiple audiences.
Produce
Drawing from her experience as a film maker and producer who specialised in archive-driven, character-focused documentaries, Clare devises and manages the research, design, creation and dissemination of any project. This may result in the project management of an archive and its dissemination; the research and production of a film; or the graphic design and creation of print and digital material.
Manage
Clare has developed a specialism in the research, management and representation of archive collections. Combining contemporary research, archival investigation and critical analysis, she applies her multi-disciplinary expertise to distil each topic and present it to the desired audience.
Strategy
Working with individuals and organisations, Clare utilises her range of creative disciplines to act as consultant for each client. Founded in comprehension of the surrounding context and underlying motivations, she provides support and advice to create specialist communication and wider management strategies.
